These are a few of my favorite things!

Hey Everybody!

What is more fun than shopping for yourself! I find I spend so much time searching for the perfect outfit for Patrick, the toy that will best keep his attention, the mirror that will look amazing in our living room, that I often forget to even think what things I would want or even need? What a novel idea! So when I saw Jen's  and Elise's link up I jumped right in!

So here they are a few of my favorite things! Happy imaginary shopping!

Christmas Wish List

Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh This has been my go to scent for years now. It is perfect for day to evening and I love looking at the beautiful bottle on my dresser!

Sparttina Chaplin's Landing Wallet My sister works at an amazing boutique in Hilton Head called Island Girl. They carry a whole line made by this designer and I am loving it! It is my must have for this Christmas!

Victoria Secret Henley PJ Set It has become a bit of a tradition for Chris to get me new PJ's for Christmas. These are comfy and last forever! And right now when you order you get a free pair of matching slippers, what's not to love!

The Perfectly Imperfect Home I am in desperate need of a new coffee table book!

Nars Palette I am a huge fan of Palettes, as a mom its nice to have everything in one place and throw it in a purse or carry on. Nars is always my go to for makeup, Laguna bronzer makes me look human most days!

Erin Condren Planner. I am waiting to order my new planner until we get our family pictures and all the pictures from my brother's wedding back. This is by far the best planner I have ever had and it has become essential in my daily life, it's also so pretty I don't mind carrying it around!

Marley Lilly Monogram Vest  The perfect addition to any fall or winter outfit!

Tortoise Shell Statement Necklace from Bauble Bar I love just about everything from Bauble Bar! I sent Chris the website and said go crazy!!!

Happy Wednesday!

Five on Friday! Link Up!

Hey Everybody
Happy Friday! I'm linking up with the lovely ladies of The Good LifeCarolina CharmA. Liz Adventures, and Hello Happiness 5 on Friday! So happy to join in the for the fun!

One.
Patrick's new winter hat from Baby Box

I could not love these hats more, we received one last year from my dear friend for his christening and it got so much use! I upgraded from an infant to a toddler so I am praying it fits and maybe we get two years out of it!
some shots with the hat last year! (he was so little...tear!)

Two.
Our family photo shoot at Disney World. Chris surprised me with this as a birthday gift and I could not be more thrilled to capture this special first vacation as a family, and Christmas decorations at Disney...I could die from the festiveness! Chris found a fabulous photographer in Orlando Tara Merkler to do our photos! Here are a few of my favorites photos we are using for inspiration for our shoot at Boardwalk Inn where we will be doing our photos!

More posts to come about outfit choices!

Three.
A weekend of nothing!
Our schedule has been so crazy packed that is the first free weekend we have had in almost three months!
I plan on spending it getting organized, getting out Christmas decorations and a lot of relaxing!

Four.
Christmas Books Advent

I am working on getting together 25 children's books to wrap and put near the tree. I think it will be so fun to open and read a new book every night!. I am hoping this will be a tradition that we will continue from year to year. So I am searching tag sales. family homes etc.. for Christmas books. Here are some of my favorites!

Are there any Christmas books you would add to my list?

Five.
I have to admit I love Gingerbread Lattes. Ever since I have had Patrick I have dramatically cut down my caffeine in take, but I am a sucker for a red cup. I think I may have had three this week oops. And once Christmas lights go up it only gets worse!

Have a great weekend everyone!!!

Living Room Gallery Wall

Happy Thursday Everyone!

Been a crazy few days between trying to continue to get the house in order and chasing a toddler, I never get much of a break!

When we first started house hunting I had one very specific project in mind. It was inspired by John and Sherry at Young House Love. Can I say before I continue how much I love them, their blog, basically everything they do...if you don't follow their blog go do it now...like right now, I'll stay on hold til you get back!

Ok so after your quick Young Love break I'm hoping you're back. So I saw John and Sherry's gallery wall using a rifle paper co. calendar and I was hooked. Only problem I didn't really love the maps. I knew I wanted something a little more portraity for our house. Well rifle paper fixed my problem with the America calendar.
Have you fallen in love yet? Just wait it only gets better

So just like they did I choose to use the Ribba frame Ikea. At 9.00$ a piece you can not beat the price and the mat fit the picture perfectly!

So I grabbed six frames and then the hard part, picking my six favorite pictures from the calendar. After much thought these were the lucky winners!

Here is the final product. I could not be more happy with how it turned out!

Our First Home!

Hey Everyone!

So we bite the bullet, jumped in, took the leap of faith...anyway you want to say it we bought our first home. Trying to buy a home in the suburbs of New York City has been to say the least, difficult. Home prices are crazy and neighborhoods and schools vary very much from town to town. My husband and I both grew up in the area so we both respectively thought our own hometowns were the ideal place to raise a family. After spending years in an apartment in hubby's hometown and two years in a condo in my hometown we were still indecisive and at odds. At the end of the day prices made our final decision. By moving further from city you get more for your money (and by further I mean 15 minutes!). So we settled on Fairfield CT, it is a beautiful college beach town. Has a bit of the hustle and bustle of a city that DH loves. A great downtown with restaurants, shopping and the best public library I have ever been in, and for me the most important the schools are fabulous. It is such a young, vibrant community, we are so thrilled to be apart of it!

A quick peak at Fairfield!

So after much searching we settled on a charming cape cod on a quiet street one block from the elementary school. We could not be more in love. Yes there is a lot of work to be done but this we know is our forever home!

So here it is our happy little home...pre warn these are the pictures direct from our realtor! I own none of this furniture and did not pick any paint colors (well except the living room which I kinda love!)

By far our favorite part of the house is the backyard, we can picture BBQ's, parties and lots of playing. A playset it the first thing on our list for spring!

So for now I will share with you my current favorite and least favorite parts of the new house! We still have so much to do! But we have gotten some things up and decorated!

Favorite!

Our seating area in front of the fireplace. I love how the chairs and rug worked out together! And the blocks are reversible for the Christmas season, an awesome Etsy find!

Least Favorite

Our Kitchen, the hideous yellow is now gone and the cabinet bases have been primed and painted. All we have left is doors to paint and be rehung. Hopefully I will have an updated picture by the weekend! All I can say is I am sick of paper plates and take-out!

Tomorrow I can't wait to share my finished gallery wall in the living room hint it involves my favorite designer Rifle Paper Co.!

Happy Wednesday!
