The Year of the Wedding

This is a very exciting year, three of the most important couples in my life have decided to tie the knot!
I am hoping to use wedding Wednesday to highlight and talk about their wedding planning! It is so much fun to be apart of weddings when they involve people you love so dearly!

My brother Keith and his fiancé Sara

These two loves, and the aunt and uncle to PJF will be getting married this October in New Orleans. They met while attending Tulane University and stayed and lived in New Orleans for several years after. I could not be more thrilled for their upcoming nuptuials! Chris, Patrick and I are all in the wedding and I am so excited to celebrate with our whole family in the NOLA! Sara has incredible style and is planing a glamorous, fun and sparkly event!

Kerry and Shane

Kerry and her fiance Shane are getting married this September in Vermont. She is one of my closest and longest friendships, and I am over the moon for her. She was a bridesmaid in my wedding and I am thrilled to return the favor! They are getting married outdoors at a beautiful farm. It will be a rustic and elegant affair!

Olivia and Todd

Olivia is also one of my closest childhood friends. She and her fiancé Todd are getting married in July in Jamaica. It is my first true "destination" wedding. Olivia has always been the fashionista of the group and I can't wait to see how she translates her style into her big day!

I am so excited to share their planning, details and days with you all!
Something Charming

Happy Wedding Wednesday

8 Months Old!

I can't believe my beautiful baby boy is already eight months old! Where is time going!

look at those teeth!

Oh How You Grow! At your last doctor's visit you were weighting in at just over 18 pounds. You are still wearing size 3 diapers. You are wearing all 9 month clothes.

YUM YUM You are still drinking about five eight ounce bottles, two of them being at night. For breakfast you love oatmeal and some kind of fruit, apples and strawberries are your favorite. For lunch you have a snack, mum mums or puff and a yogurt. For dinner its a veggie, protein and a fruit. Sometimes you are into it, sometimes not but over all you are a great eater!

As I Lay Me Down to Sleep... We are still working on this little man. You have a great bedtime routine. Dinner, bath, bottle then bedtime with Daddy at eight o'clock. But you are still getting up about twice at night, once and midnight and once at five then getting up at about eight for the day. You take two one hour naps a day we can't get you to take anymore!

You've Got Personality! You overall are such a happy boy! You love to laugh and play with your toys and piano excersaucer. We go to gym class twice a week which you adore. You scream and laugh the whole time we are there. We also go to yoga and swim classes on Saturdays with Daddy. You love to swim. You also love Sesame Street, although we try not to let you watch too often. You love to be held but you also are content to sit and play by yourself. You truly are such a joy to mommy and daddy!

And we found the sticker for the first time...uh oh!

Bento Boxes for Babes!

I follow the Hello Bee blog pretty often and they feature the use of Bento boxes pretty regularly. Basically a bento box is a way of packing a lunch or snack in one container for your children, using the space for smaller portions of a wider variety of foods. They also focus on fun packaging that engages and excites children. It is also mess free, no additional baggies or things to be throw out, very eco friendly.

The way that people pack them are so cute and creative! Here are some of my favorites!

There are some basic things you need to get started!

Some inspiration

The internet is a great start. I have found some awesome blogs like...
which I follow and have been saving ideas I like. They also have great tutorials and supplies they have used and reviewed.

Pinterest is another great place to look for ideas!

I can't wait til PJF is a little bigger and we can start. I truly think this is a great way to get kids exciting about eating healthy and yummy foods!

Happy Tuesday!

Weekend Update

We had a busy weekend! Friday night Chris and I left baby with my in-laws and headed up to Hartford to see the rock band The Used at Webster Theater. It was definitely very loud and I felt a little out of place in a gold sparkly shirt in a room full of black hoodies and piercings but I love the music so overall it was a blast!

Outfit for the night
Top/ Express
Jeans/ Loft
Shoes/ Steve Madden
Necklace/ Kate Spade

The Used

Saturday I headed off Hartford way again to go bridesmaid dress shopping with my best friend. She is getting married in September in Vermont and I could not be more excited! We got lots done, she picked her dress, bridesmaid dresses and flower girl dresses. It was a very productive day. I am going to start writing about her, my other best friend's and my brother's wedding this Wednesday. It's defiantly the year of the wedding! More about that later this week!

Then Sunday morning I hosted a playdate for two of my best friends and their babies. It is so fun to see the kids growing up together! The other little boy is actually my husband's first cousin's son! We live in the same town, and are thrilled the boys will grow up going to the same schools and in the area. Its like your first built in friend!

First guitar lessons with Daddy!

Later Sunday afternoon we had a few of our friends over to watch the Super Bowl. It was ver relaxed and fun, love having it at our place rather than a bar!

First off, how beautiful and moving was the Sandy Hook Choir. I was in tears before they even started singing. What a wonderful tribute and way to show the resilence and hope of children. I have said before we live about twenty minutes from Newtown. I can say for certain it has changed our communities in Connecticut forever.

It was a great game but the best part...The halftime show! How amazing was Beyonce...

And a Destiny's Child reunion! Dream!

Happy Monday Everyone
