Sunday Social

Sunday Social

Today I am linking up with Ashley over at Ashley Lately for the Social Sunday Link Up!

1. If you where stuck on an island what are the two material items you would want to have?
I think if I was stuck on an island the two items I would need would be first my iPad! That kind of rolls computer, TV and book altogether. Also I would need a blow dryer, but not sure if they have outlets on a deserted island.

2. What are two TV shows you'd watch over and over?
The West Wing and Sex and the City
Both are great, long running and incredibly well written shows. I own both series on DVD and they are what I call my sick time standards!

3. If your house was on fire, what two things aside from family, pets, etc would you grab?
The bear I had made for Patrick with my Mom's clothing and my jewelry box. I lost my Mom to cancer 7 years ago and basically anything that was hers I would want to grab.

4. What are your two most favorite articles of clothing?
A Navy blue lace dress I wore to my cousin's wedding this Fall, it was so pretty, a classic fit and I know I'll be wearing to lots of other events.

A black cardigan, I wear these all the time, over dresses, with jeans, it is a wardrobe staple!

5. What two movies that you saw in the past year would you recommend to us?
Pitch Perfect
The music was so great and such a funny movie! I just loved it!
Trouble With the Curve
Justin Timberlake, need I say more...

6. What are your two biggest guilty pleasures?
Trashy TV

Pop Corners

Happy Super Bowl Sunday!

PJF's Six to Eight Month Favorites

six to eight month favorites

six to eight month favorites by ktmcculloch on Polyvore

Ella's Kitchen Baby Food Pouches These are by far Patrick's favorite baby food. They are also great for traveling. They can be a bit on the expensive side but I have been finding them on sale at our local Target and Stop N Shop

Laugh and Learn Apptivity Case This is a total lifesaver. Patrick loves our phones but I prefer mine not covered in drool and baby grime! This also is great for restaurants!

Halo Sleep Sack PJF loves the sleep sack. I also think it helps in his bedtime routine. When it goes on he knows its time for bottle and night night!

Puppy Lovie Patrick loves his lovie. Still trying to get the nerve to let him sleep with it!

Gap two piece PJ's These are awesome for night time diaper changes and also super cute. They do make me a bit sad, he looks so grown up in them!

Fisher Price Stacker Best eight dollars we ever spent! A classic!

Hyland Teething Tablets These have helped a ton! Teething sucks!

The Decorations
This is such an easy way too spice up your super bowl party and not too difficult!

This adorable tabletop set up from Hostess With The Mostest! Super cute and easy to make!

Beer flower arrangement from 1-800-Flowers, but would be so easy to DIY!

And of course you need an awesome chalkboard design, this courtesy of Little Baby Garvin who never fails to have the most amazing chalkboard inspiration.

The Food
(all courtesy of Pinterest!)
The most important part of the party! I try and keep the food, fun, bite size and casual. That makes it easy enough to grab and go. Also try and switch out the food between quarters! and maybe have a special treat for the half time show!

For the kids!
If you are hosting a party where kids are invited you want to make sure to have some kid friendly games and snacks!

Football pizza from The Family Kitchen.

Football juice boxes from Catch My Party.

Fun game for kids to keep them entertained from One Charming Party

And of course the kids need a cute outfit!

SAW IT! PINNED IT! DID IT! Our Disney Fund Jar !

Like I said in my resolutions post we are trying to head to Walt Disney World during the holiday season next year! We have started a fund in our kitchen, collecting change and extra cash for the trip. Then I saw this post on Pinterest

how cute right? so I set out to make one of my own.

First I bought two cute glass jars at Walmart, they were less than five dollars a piece

I used a craft smart paint pen. I googled Disney fonts and then hand painted that and some mickey and minnie icons.

So here is the finished product!

Disney here we come!
