Things I'm Loving

Vintage Mismatched China
I think this is such a cute look! What love to start a collections of different types of china if I have more room!

The Longest Week Ever!

So this past week little man got it hit with the stomach bug...and he got hit hard. We woke up Tuesday night to him and his whole crib covered in vomit. And that has continued for NINE days! We are all exhausted and over being sick. After four days last week of vomiting we ended up in the ER to treat Patrick for dehydration. He was such a tough little guy, barely cried and flirted with every nurse, doctor and PA that came into our room. We were back in the doctors office today because although we are  doing better, he is still vomiting. They are running some tests and hopefully we can figure out something to help him along.

Design Obsession!

So for a long time I had a problem defining my style. Preppy, yes! vintage, a bit...modern, um no! But I have never really identified with a lot of homes or designs I had seen on television or in magazines. That was until I stumbled up Sarah Richardson on HGTV.

Sarah's style is an exact match to my own. I love her custom upholstered furniture, classic color combinations, wall paper with a dash of youthfulness and fun. I swear if I ever won the lottery I would fly her down from Canada to design my own custom home. So until that happens I will simply swoon over her beautiful designs and watch DVRed marathons of Sarah's House. Sarah's house is a show where she designs a home from the bottom up. She has done her own vacation home, 60' ranch and cookie cutter model home. It is so fun to watch her go from one room to the next using different styles and colors. Each house has been so different and unique I just love it! It gives me inspiration to be a bit more fearless in the design of my home. Her are some of my favorite Sarah designs!

New Years Resolutions

A lot of this in my life have changed in the past year. I left my job, had a baby and moved into our new home as always that makes me think during this time of year what can I do to make myself happier and healthier. So here is what I have come up with for 2013

1. To get back into the gym and try and work out five to six days a week. It has been incredibly hard since baby but I am resolved to get back in shape.
2. I am going to set up a cleaning schedule. Keeping the house tidy with little man has seemed impossible I hope this will help.
This is the schedule I am going to try and follow!

3.We are starting a family vacation fund. We are hoping to go to Disney next December!
A little DIY I'm doing but ours will be Disney World of course!

These are the images keeping us inspired!

4. To finish the DIY projects around the house

Organize all our wedding, baby/bridal shower, baptism and housewarming cards

Finish our picture wall

Six month photo prep and more!

So after all the crazyness of the past few weeks we are starting to get back into a normal routine. I'm actually pretty excited that we do not have very much going on in the next few weeks. I'm ready for some quiet downtime for sure. But this Saturday we have Patrick's six month photos with our fabulous photography. I'm super excited and have been searching for inspiration. Heres the outfits I was thinking.

six month photos

I've also started the process of taking down our holiday decor and I am in search of some fun winter decor. Here are some idea I have found.

Some Valentine's Day ideas!

I thought this would be so cute printed for a girl's bedroom or children's bathroom.

And of course we need a new winter chalkboard!

Last but not least I saw this on Pinterest last night and I can't get over it! If I ever have a little girl this will be done!

Happy Thursday xoxo Katie
